The contents page background is the same as the cover background to continue the Halloween theme of the magazine. The articles are chosen to interest college students. Some articles are about activities within the college, and others outside. Within-college articles include "College trips" and "Sports". These appeal mainly to sports students, those recently on trips, friends of the former categories, sports fans or students who are generally interested. They will appeal because this information is the sort they would be interested in. The outer-college articles include "Money Saving" and "What people are doing this Halloween". These may interest people because people plan on going out at Halloween, and will know where certain parties and events are by looking through the magazine. Both articles are mainly aimed at everybody since most people like to go out during special occasions, and everybody enjoys having money. The Halloween article may not appeal as much to those less sociable.
The images catch the reader's attention by standing out on the dark background. The image of money may be more appealing since it will appeal to a wider range of readers than the sports team. In either case they offer previews of the articles and information within.
In this page I reinforced my discovery of using multiple coloured text as well as rotating images and using my background.
